With the festivities of the season upon us, it’s easy to get caught up in the more hurried pace. As a counterpoint to the busyness, you might enjoy spending an evening out in the fresh air enjoying a blazing bonfire, musical entertainment and beautiful lights.
The Carol Ships Shoreside Celebration takes place at Panorama Park in Deep Cove on Saturday, December 9th from 7:30 - 9:00pm. In support of the Harvest Project and Family Services, please bring donations of food or unwrapped gifts. Some of the most needed items include gifts for teen girls and boys, canned foods, condiments, rice, pasta, toiletries and diapers.
If you have children or grandchildren, the upcoming two week winter break can bring the added challenge of helping them stay active without breaking the bank. Consider taking advantage of the fantastic deal offered by the North Vancouver Recreation Centre. The Pool and Play pass for children aged 3-18 is only $5 and valid Friday, December 22nd to Sunday, January 7th. This includes unlimited access to public swimming, open gym times, as well as admission to public skate sessions.
